If nommo ever stops, what you own doesn't.
Our Collector Terms say ownership lasts "for as long as nommo exists," because no platform can honestly promise its own servers will run forever. This page is the other half of that promise: what nommo owes you specifically, if nommo itself ever winds down for good.
If nommo ever makes the deliberate decision to stop operating, collectors get told before access ends, with a minimum of 90 days notice wherever the situation allows for it.
Before the platform goes dark, every collector gets the ability to download a DRM-free copy of everything they own, plus a plain record of their purchase history. That's the part of "own forever" that doesn't depend on nommo's own servers still running.
Once a shutdown is announced, nommo stops selling anything new. Anyone who bought something in the two weeks right before the announcement gets a full refund automatically on request, no questions asked, since they couldn't have known.
If the nommo Institute, or another body, is willing and able to keep serving purchased libraries to existing collectors rather than only offering a download, that option is offered first. Continued access is the better outcome, an export is the floor beneath it, not the ceiling.
What counts as "nommo stops operating"
Not a bad week, and not an outage, even a serious one. This policy exists for a genuine, deliberate wind-down: a decision to dissolve the company with no successor, an acquisition where the buyer won't continue nommo as a purchase-and-own platform, or an extended, undeclared abandonment of the platform (180 days of nommo.live being unreachable with no communicated plan to resume). Short outages, even the occasional bad one, are the ordinary risk of any online service, not a trigger for this page.
Where this actually stands today
The download tool this policy depends on is built, but deliberately switched off day to day: buying a work on nommo grants streaming and reading access through nommo's own player, not an immediate file download, and the export only turns on if nommo actually starts winding down, not before. Separately, the nommo Institute, the body intended to hold this obligation independently of nommo's own commercial operations, is not yet incorporated as its own separate legal entity, that part is still being worked toward, not assumed already true.
What is already true: the Institute already exists as nommo's own creative identity and archive mandate, and the intent described on this page is the standard nommo is building itself toward, in public, before it's ever tested for real.
