Lineage and training

My journey in Ifá and Ìṣẹ̀ṣe is rooted in a family lineage dedicated to the preservation, practice, and transmission of Yoruba ancestral knowledge. I am the daughter of Araba Olusoji Oyekale, the Araba of Ijagbo, who is also my Oluwo and one of my foremost teachers. He is the founder of Ile Ijuba Ifalafinimona, a traditional spiritual house with branches in Nigeria, Brazil, and Venezuela. Growing up within this lineage has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of preserving our ancestral heritage and passing its teachings on to future generations. Beyond my training within my family lineage, I have also had the privilege of learning under Babalawo Ifashola Amufawuni in Iragbiji. These experiences have contributed to my continued learning and understanding of Ifá, its teachings, and the broader spiritual and cultural traditions of the Yoruba people. My lineage and training are important parts of my identity as an Iyanifa, Iyalorisa, and teacher of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe. They represent not only the knowledge I have received but also the responsibility I carry to approach our tradition with respect, integrity, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
